i play melee with my little coward daggers and by the time i get into range im minced by them! of course ive learned nothing and keep doing this
If you train a bit of throwing (6 is all it takes to get mindelay on darts), poison darts can help a lot.

I terribly apologies. This hits myself as well.
But I think the greatest last words ever are the cur5es you utter after an unfair YASD 
I could break my desk if I give in to Berserk. Really.
Here are a few particularly memorable moments for me:
“!Lig gives rPois and AC, right? That’ll save me!”
[stung to death by an swarm of bees]
“That basilisk just landed its petrify, but it’s poisoned. I’ll make sure it dies by hitting it with inner fire.”
[killed by an exploding basilisk]
“I can’t win this fight, but I’ve got !invis. I can just walk away.” [10 turns later] “How is it still following me?!”
[killed while invisible by an orc warlord]
