Forgecraft - a new magic school

I will certainly add the new Summonings spells and mention some good Forgecraft shenanigans that pair well with it!

I’m a (relatively) new player – and I don’t play seriously, so having my 2+ years barely means much. I’ve not won yet, but I’m determined to have my first win with a non-classic build.
Likely it would be my personal favorite Spriggan Warper ^Wu Jian, but the amount of things I’m picking up with my FeSu tries is immense.
Specifically, I never really understood the point of training targets until seeing them in true and decisive action.

Thank you for all your contributions, Onei.

Of you like spriggans, I won with a SpEE awhile back that I played as a stabber. It was fun as hell. Petrify works for setting up for pretty much a whole 3 rune game (I think, this was a while ago). The real standout was passwall. Passwall is wonderful for stabbing because it can TP right next to your target then you have a guaranteed stab as your move after you pop out of the wall is instantaneous. Passwall has been nerfed since I won though so I don’t know if it will be as cool. I think the range is less good. But in zot I was able to one shot OoF. It was fun as hell.

I was the same back then too! I’m kind of glad my GrFi of Wu Jian splatted in Zot:1 all those years back, it wouldn’t have led to such an amazing FeSu dynasty (as that ended up being my first win).

I’ve always aimed not for my guide to be something to get your first win with (despite all the memes, Felid is HARD!) but to teach how to play the game well and cautiously in a way that isn’t tedious. I hope you win with that Spriggan!

The only thing more tedious than summons was transmutations

sees enemy 234ssssssss5o

For five hours straight :joy:

It might just be me, but I genuinely like summons and find them interesting. It might be “234ssssssss5o” for trivial fights, but when playing a turbo-squishy character, every fight that isn’t free XP is extremely reliant on wise positioning.

I sometimes let the golem’s blast hit me, just so I can feel alive. I’m also the kind of player that sees an alarm trap as an opportunity to make things a little more fun.

On a serious note, forgecraft has does a lot to make the summons game a lot more dynamic and interesting for me. Really started a few months ago with the lead up to it, and of course learning how abusable golem can be from a certain guide helped ease the pain for me.
