Hi everyone,
I’m running a Gnoll Shapeshifter (GnSh) of Chei on version 0.34 and have hit XL7 on D:5. I’ve stabilized my Protean Talisman into a Scarab Talisman. I also got a Rimehorn Talisman, which worked well for me in a past run.
Right now, I don’t have a clear path on what to do next. The Wiki didn’t give me the best information on what to do, so I chose to ask here.
Can you check if this build is okay?
It’s easier for people for help you with a character if you post a dump. Here’s how to do that according to the learnDB:
Press # in-game to do a character dump. If online, then say !dump [your crawl nickname] in chat. If offline, then follow the displayed link to find your dump and post or pastebin it in chat. This will let people look at your character so they can answer your question.
You’re a gnoll, so skilling is automatic, and you already have a god, so just continue in the dungeon. Somewhere in D:8-11, you’ll find the entrance to the Lair. I generally clear down to D:10-11 before going to the Lair. You may also find an entrance to the Orcish Mines (Orc for short), but it’s usually better to clear Lair first.
Rimehorn talisman will get you through the dungeon, lair and orc as long as you position yourself right (so that enemies take damage from frozen walls). Scarab is decent but is more likely to get you killed.
