do y’all know any games that come close to the DC:SS experience but which are 3D games? I’ve tried some things in the past (forgot the names 
) but they were kinda… slow? Mouse based, party system, bla bla bla. I don’t want that. I want solo, kicking butt, adapting to the speed of my NUMPAD mastery. And also I didn’t find anything that had as many character creation and abilities and controlled chaos in the game as DC.
Anything like this exist?
Desktop Dungeons Rewind. Technically it’s 3d and heavily inspired by DCSS. But I’d prefer the classic version. The game is really good, imho. Also Crypt of the Necrodancer has the vibe and you really have to adapt to the speed there.
The reason 3D games felt slow is because of animations. A lot of games just lock you into waiting for the animation to finish. This is why traditional roguelikes are best turn based games in my opinion, no need to wait for animations!
