CIP OpTm of Gozag - Unarmed vs Weapons?

Promising run i have and im conflicted since i havent played transmuters in a while.
I lucked into elec dagger, demon flail of venom, and this Staff of five virtues.
Also a ring of Shadows, so my stealth is crazy good.

And im not sure how to utilize all this the best, becuase i aim for blade talisman next, which works with any weapon or unarmed and alsy ahs synergy with Amulet of reflection and shield for good defence, and im pretty sure i can get a lot of slaying from gozag shops. And then maybe move to storm talisman?

Also im not sure on how to finish lair and deal with Hydras, i didnt get any great spells for them, and in melee i will be destroyed. Maybe transition to stabber with my awesome stealth?

Any advice from experienced Shapeshifting players?

I have bunch of 3 rune wins recently and splatted 1 Djinn with 10 runes so a medium experience level.

I think your character is capable of killing a couple of hydras with consumables. 2 with Lignification potions, 1 with berserk (risky), 1 with wands of iceblast (expensive, and not guaranteed), up to 3 with scrolls of vulnerability.
I don’t think training weapon skills would move the needle, and as such I wouldn’t be inclined to sacrifice future power by training any weapon skills.
With this much stealth and these spells, it might be worth doing a bit more of D: before you finish Lair.

OTOH, I could see the argument in favour of training 5 or so short-blade skill, just to make invis-stabbing more powerful. (Then also train more Stealth and Evo). invis-stabbing could even let you take out hydras (though risky against many-headed hydras), helps a lot in D, and helps you clear out Orc, which could give you a major power spike.

Thanks! Didnt know tree potions are good against hydras, lol
Lots of good avice, almost cleared the Lair, i just noticed that Storm talisman focuses on unarmed so i will train that and ignore wepons mor the most part
