Just lost a barachi hunter in shoals 4
It does feel strange if you make a char specialized at long range attacks and then you encounter a satyr and they are just better at it than you are.
Well, onto my actual question. At some point I felt there were too many ranged things attacking me at once so I read a scroll of fog. As expected I couldn’t see most of my attackers any more because there were at least two fields of fog between them and me. But if I read the messages correctly they were still all shooting at me and some of them even hit.
Is that supposed to work like that? Monster shoot into the fog at the position where they last saw you and if you are still in that spot they have a reasonable chance to actually hit you? Or did I not read the messages carefully and the hits where from nearby monsters?
No, they shouldn’t shoot at you when you can’t see them. But I don’t know when the clouds move? I think the clouds move after the enemy turn and before your turn. Which might sound unfair, but if the clouds moved after your turn and before the enemy turn, it would be much worse.
Is there any cloud movement with fog? I thought fog just puts a cloud on every empty field in my LOS when I read it. If a monster then walks into the fog does the fog move in the opposite direction into the field the monster came from? I thought the spot where the monster moved away from would just be empty afterwards.
no, fog explodes out from your character.
fog isn’t that precious, so feel free to experiment with them a bit.
I see it could be confusing that ?fog and ?poison are different in the way they place their clouds, but they are actually extremely different
