Is it worth pumping up invocations for smite ability following begoth?

I know hill orcs have a high aptitude for Invo, but ive never thought that I should invest in it for only one ability. Am I going about this in a wrong way, or is it not worth it as I think?

Thing is that HO Invocations aptitude is quite good.

Smite lets you kill stuff you wanna snipe, like malmutators, moths of wrath, vault wardens, stuff at low HP, etc. If used enough it can kill anything. In a way, it’s similar to Throwing / Evocations: the # times you can smite is comparable to the # of javelin throws you get. So I find Invo worth it in a similar way that Evo’s worth it.

Arguably Beogh is so good that it doesn’t matter what you train, since orcs take care of everything before Zot. As long as your training is vaguely viable, it can work. High-Invo Smite happens to let you kill OOFs (but melee HO with axes can also do that, so…)

Of course, if you the player don’t use Smiting a lot, then it probably isn’t worth it.
