I have a question about armour skill, does it provides bonus for AC provided by Storm talisman (say 15 AC at 27 in shapeshifting skill), it’s not an AC value coming from “armour items” so I don’t know if it works or not.
And since the storm talisman meld all body armour, if it’s only for “normal armour items” then with storm talisman the armour skill would be useless.
The armour skill is useless for Storm talisman. Armour actually only improves body slot AC anyways, it doesn’t do anything for the AC in the Aux slots.

And I didn’t know armous skill does not improve aux armour slots AC.
Really? I believe you re the storm talisman, but as for the aux slots how then is this possible:
e - a +0 helmet (worn).
A piece of metal headgear.
Base armour rating: 1
It can be maximally enchanted to +2.
If you take off this armour:
Your AC would decrease by 1.6 (42.8 -> 41.2).
Your EV would remain unchanged.

I must be mistaken then and confusing it with the Octopode/Poltergeist/Draconian’s inability to train the armour skill.

Yes, that is confusing; and perhaps a holdover from when the game also wouldn’t e.g. let the player train Necromancy just to use a pain-branded weapon?
