One of my most heart breaking losses was a long long time ago when it was Linley’s. I made it to lair or elf for maybe the third or fourth time ever after a few years of playing. I was playing a pretty fast and I accidentally walked into deep water or lava and died. I’m really glad the devs removed that particular way of dying.

The Hellfire Mortar’s lava flow will move items that are already on the ground out of the way, but I too lost out on a nice randart dropping a corpse into the flow.
