What should I give my spellcasting Beogh followers?

I’ve been splatting Hill Orc Beogh characters lately, with moderate success (got one to Zot:5 but underestimated it greatly – seems it doesn’t play like the tab-fest the Ultraviolent4 videos show any more…).

Anyway, for the first time I’ve converted Nergalle (a spellcasting orc unique) to my cause. She’s got a dagger and a robe. Any tips on what I should gift her when the time comes? Polearms do tend to cause the orcs to keep their distance, but she’s only got a robe so I’d be tempted for armor. Can’t decide.

I’d give her some heavy armour (like an ego plate or even a regular one) or a big shield.
