so i’m a little rusty, but i’ve gotten back to playing for a lil bit now and i feel this run has been my best in terms of control overall but could be better,
i just wanted to see if anyone could offer any advice to maybe advance? i felt really confident throughout this run, but i did make a few mistakes like using flame wave in an open level… i think it the loudness that caused the domino fall to my death

your build looks suboptimal, to be blunt. You’ve got most of your stat points in int, and your highest skills are spellcasting and firemagic. So far that’s fine.
But then you go with Wu Jian. No synergy there with what makes your character strongest. These skills are also borderline useless:
- Level 1.2 Short Blades
- Level 3.9 Staves
they make non-threatening situations easier to deal with, but don’t help much at all with the situations that are actually dangerous.
You also memorised kinetic grapple and summon small mammal. Summon small mammal at least has some utility, making the early game safer by a non-zero amount. But I always run low on amnesia scrolls in the mid/late game, and these are long-term a waste of spell levels / amnesia scrolls.
Blink is a great pickup. And the success rates on your fire spells show good results. Flame wave still being 19% shows you could put some more xp into conjurations or fire, and memorizing Inner Flame or Blastmotes does make the early game easier but again costs amnesia scrolls long-term.
But I can’t see anything in your character dump that would have caused you to die like this. So probably it was poor tactics 
Did you stair-dance enough?
When Maggie mesmerised you, that could have justified reading the ?summon, but that’s not something I do lightly either.
yeaahhh the wu jian was not a good choice, it was a random alter i prayed to which was not a smart move LOL. But yeah thank you for all this, will keep it all in mind cuz its super helpful!!! :D
