This was a rather easy win, and I don’t really get why.
I think Spiny carried the early game, combined with taking Qaz on D:2. I’m a big fan of Spiny.
Also got really good loot drops. Like the +6 scale mail of Istu {rN+ Regen+ Dex+7} which surprisingly (to me) was best in slot for most of the game. Switching to enchanted shadow dragon scales could have been a decent trade-of of AC vs EV, but the regen and the dex were really nice.
The +13 sceptre of Asmodeus is a cool weapon now.
I did a bit of pan to get it down to min delay, and to get my piety back up, which was a frustrating experience. Mostly because I couldn’t find an exit. In the end I went through the Abyss, which was harrowing. Almost died. Got sic, cancelling my regen, and with the noice I was always instantly found by a horde of creatures.
In tomb I almost got killed by killing a bunch of mummies with a single Disaster Area.
I had a side-quest at some point to gather enough coin to buy the ring “Taschei” {rN++ Will+++ Str+6 Dex+2} for 8570 gold pieces, which was fun.
Never entered Shoals.
