A long-running goal of mine since Oka and kobolds and darts got changed, I finally won a kobold thrower of Oka.
I might not deserve it; I got really close to dying quite often. Lost a lot of characters trying to get this run too.
In the end, is kobold chucking strong? It’s… pretty ok. I certainly noticed enemies died more quickly when I switched to my boomerangs. And the darts of atropa had a very good chance of incapacitating almost all enemies in the game (and setting up a killing stab). The darts that make enemies go berserk were the strongest and the most fun, but I only ever got 2 of them and they mulched quite quickly.
Duel is a fun way to take out those nasty strong enemies when you can’t afford to deal with the crowd at the same time. But I never felt like I had piety to spare.
Finished the game with about 560 boomerang shots remaining, and 805 boomerang shots used. And 40 atropa darts remaining.
Having -3 LOS was helpful, even with being focussed on ranged damage.
Got 3 runes: Slime, Silver and Spider. I probably could have found some more boomerangs on Shoals if I’d entered.
