Revenant seems to be a strong species for me. I started a ReIE for the first time and won with 10 runes.
There were 7 altars on D:3 and I picked Gozag for maximal efficiency. I called 3 merchants, which seems to be the usual amount for me. I want to save enough money to bribe Zot multiple times.
There were 34 normally generated shops in the game, which might be a record for me.
Polar Vortex is just an amazing spell (232 casts). This time I also used Enkindle quite a lot (28 times) and most often that+PV was the easy way out of trouble after using up all mana. Permafrost Eruption was the main tool (1819 casts) and this was the first game when I really used Ozo’s Refrigeration a lot (557 casts). Bombard got 493 casts as well and LCS was important in the end game.
I kept ESC (what an appropriate acronym!) in my spell list because it’s such a nice way to create a space between you and the enemy.
Remarkable things about this run:

Fetching the abyssal rune took 49 turns in total. That was amazing. Entered A:5, detected the rune, found an exit on the way to the rune vault, cast Polar Vortex, apported the rune, walked back to the exit. Exited.

Got in a hairy situation in Pan, as I escaped one level with low health and mana and landed straight in Cerebov’s chamber. Luckily Cerebov itself was not in LOS so I managed to teleport away before getting killed by the welcome committee.

This was my first Englaciator title. I don’t usually specifically go for titles, but when I had trained Ice to 25 for Polar Vortex, I decided to max it just for the title.
I bribed Zot two times (on Zot:5), then U and D on the way out.
Only one bat killed(!)
My 115th victory, first ReIE played. Revenant is my best species (played 4, won 3, so 75% win rate). IE is now my 10th best background with 5/31 = 16% wins. Overall, my win rate is 115/962=12%.
