I feel this could be an intersting idea to include in a fork. The way I see it working is that some troves will say that you will suffer the wrath of a god chosen from one of three when you enter the trove, for the usual penance counter. The god you are worshipping will be taken out of the pool if it generates with them in it, possibly being replaced by another god. Perhaps as a little bit of extra flavor, you could have items related to the god in question buried in the trove (Antimagic items for Trog, spellbooks for Sif Muna, etc).
I do think that we proably wouldnât have Ru or Ignis included in the list of gods you would piss off for breaking into the trove.

I like the idea of giving the players a decent incentive to endure wrath like that. normally switching gods is not something you ever do if you want to win because you know wraths are very bad so you never end up seeing them in action. wraths are content that the game has, itâs already there, but the player almost never experiences it. that would change if the player had a good reason to engage with it, maybe would even eventually encourage abandoning gods a little more often if the player gets more familiar with the wraths and actually knows exactly how dangerous they are?

And this has amazing flavour too, of ârobbing the vaults of âŚâ (which would obviously make them angry
)
You donât think one should be able to know which godâs vault youâre robbing before you go in?
Ru obviously doesnât have anything in his vault, as he doesnât care about items of this world
Ignisâ treasure trove could have some burned out and relatively (for a trove) weak flame-based items? Or is that messing with the concept ot a âtroveâ too much?
